Welcome to my mindless musings about my single mom life in rural Washington State. Birth Certificate: Melody Sue
What I'd tell you if we met and I wasn't going to sign anything for you: Susie
What I'd tell you if you were going to make me sign something: Melody
What people call me if they've know me since before I was 18: Sue
What people call me if they were introduced to me by my ex: Susan
What those people wandering in my house wanting to know when dinner is going to be: Mommy, Momma, Mom, MOTHER!!!
What my ex-boss used to call when he wanted me to do something: Sus
What people say when they are feeling song-like: Susie-Q
What my Hispanic friends call me: Susanna
If I could go back to being a tiny-tiny baby, swaddled in my momma's arms – I'd tell her: Please call me Melody, or please name me Susie!
And YOU – Mrs. S. I know that little blonde loves you – but someday she is gonna wonder what the heck you were thinking!
